The Sulu Pygmy Woodpecker or Sulu Woodpecker(Dendrocopos ramsayi) is a species of bird in the Picidae family. Formerly, it was included in the Philippine Woodpecker (D. maculatus). But it actually seems to form a superspecies with this and the Sulawesi Woodpecker (D. temminckii), as part of the large D. moluccensis group which ranges throughout eastern Asia.
It is endemic to the Philippines. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical mangrove forests, and arable land. It is threatened by habitat loss.
